Aquafield Goyang Jjimjil Spa Guide

October 7, 2026|by TripKorea Team

Aquafield Goyang (아쿠아필드 고양) brings themed heated rooms, communal rest areas, and sauna facilities together on the fourth floor of Starfield Goyang. Its jjimjil spa offers a largely indoor visit built around heat, bathing, and rest rather than swimming.

This guide covers the Goyang branch’s jjimjil rooms, admission, family rules, locker-key checkout, and access from Seoul. It focuses on the spa and sauna; rooftop swimming facilities are outside its scope.

Image note: All images in this guide are illustrative alternatives, not photographs documenting Aquafield Goyang. They do not depict its room layouts or supplied amenities.

1. Aquafield Goyang: The Jjimjil Spa Experience

The spa contains several different heated-room environments rather than one sauna room. Materials, lighting, and video distinguish the spaces, while the Jjimjil Hall and Family Hall provide places to meet and rest between them.

The Charcoal Room uses oak charcoal from Hoengseong in Gangwon-do. The Bulgama (불가마), a high-temperature kiln-style room, has yellow-earth walls associated with Gochang. These are different environments, so choosing a room is not simply a matter of finding an empty seat.

Other rooms emphasize different materials and surroundings. The Salt Room uses Himalayan rock-salt stones, while the Maekbanseok Room uses stone from Yecheon in Gyeongsangbuk-do. The Cypress Room combines cypress wood with forest imagery.

The Cloud Room uses moist mist. In the Media Art Room, heated relaxation is paired with 360-degree panoramic video. The visual themes can differ; there is no fixed screening timetable included in this guide.

These descriptions explain what distinguishes the rooms, not medical benefits. No specific room temperatures or therapeutic results are promised. Individual facilities may be suspended for safety checks or inspection, so a particular room should not be treated as guaranteed throughout every visit.

TripKorea’s Tip: Keep the Goyang branch selected when checking facilities. Aquafield also operates other branches, and their room names, rental counters, and products are not interchangeable.

2. Sauna Facilities and Places to Rest

The sauna area is separate in function from the shared jjimjil rooms. Its bathing facilities include a Bade bath with water jets and a Vitality bath with warm water and bubble massage. These are bathing facilities, not the rooftop swimming attraction.

Body scrubbing is also offered as a chargeable service. Its price, availability, and arrangement should be confirmed with staff before use. Do not assume that admission includes a scrub or other separately paid services.

The Relax Room provides reclining chairs in an adults-only rest area. This restriction matters for families: the Family Hall is a shared meeting and rest space, but children should not be included in plans for the adults-only room. Confirm its age requirement if it affects your visit.

A private room is another option, but it requires advance reservation. It should not be assumed to come with ordinary spa admission. Capacity, price, and the reservation period need to be checked separately.

For visitors with infants, the nursing room includes an infant bed, sofa, and diaper-changing table. A first-aid room is also available for basic assistance. These facilities support a visit without changing the supervision rules that apply to children.

TripKorea’s Tip: Ask reception about clothing and towels before entering the changing area. Do not carry swimming-area clothing rules over to the sauna, or assume that every towel or rental is included in admission.

3. Admission, Hours, and the Six-Hour Limit

The jjimjil spa operates from 10:00 to 22:00. Standard admission is KRW 26,000 for adults and KRW 21,000 for children. The posted categories classify middle-school students and older as adults, and children from 36 months through elementary school at the child rate.

Infants under 36 months enter free with proof of age. They are not issued jjimjil clothing or towels. Bring eligibility documents where needed, and confirm the fare category with reception if a child’s age and school stage do not fit the posted categories clearly.

Spa admission allows a visit of up to six hours. Beyond that allowance, the additional charge is KRW 5,000 per hour. Do not interpret the allowance as an overnight stay or an unlimited day pass. Confirm how a partial extra hour is billed if you expect to approach the limit.

At the settlement counter, infant or toddler jjimjil clothing is listed at KRW 5,000 rental plus a KRW 1,000 deposit. A relax towel has the same listed rental fee and deposit. The deposit is refunded after the item’s return is confirmed.

These rental charges are separate from admission. Other on-site purchases and paid services can also add to the final bill. The locker-key system records eligible spending for payment before departure rather than making all services part of the entrance price.

Admission can be subject to waiting when capacity is reached. The Goyang branch’s reservation link provides a way to check ticket options, but a reservation for a private room and ordinary spa admission are different arrangements. Read the conditions of the product you choose.

TripKorea’s Tip: Confirm the day’s hours before a late arrival. The dedicated spa pages show a 22:00 closing time; arrival near closing does not give you a full six-hour visit.

4. Family Rules, Locker Keys, and Checkout

Children aged four years, or 48 months, and older cannot enter opposite-sex sauna, shower, or changing facilities together. Plan who will accompany each child before reaching those spaces. This rule concerns bathing and changing facilities, not families meeting in the shared jjimjil areas.

Children aged ten and under must be accompanied by a guardian. Photography and video are prohibited in the locker rooms and sauna. Respect this restriction even when the shared hall is described as a place for photographs.

A shared shower or scrubbing towel is not supplied. This does not mean that every type of towel is unavailable; the spa distinguishes between towel provision and specific rentals. Confirm the items needed for your intended use at reception.

After ticket issuance, use the shoe locker within 20 minutes. If it is not used within that period, it locks automatically. The shoe locker and clothing locker have the same number and are operated with one key.

Keep the RF locker key with you. It can record charges for supported services and purchases, including body scrubbing, massage chairs, and vending machines. Report a lost key immediately; the posted loss fee is KRW 10,000.

Everyone must stop at the settlement counter before leaving, even without purchases, because visit duration is checked there. The shoe locker will not open before settlement. Do not plan to check out, leave for the mall, and then return on the same visit.

Posted payment methods include cash, physical cards, Shinsegae gift vouchers, Samsung Pay, and SSG PAY. This list does not guarantee acceptance of every foreign-issued card, so check payment arrangements before committing to separately charged services.

Outside food is generally prohibited, with specified exceptions including PET-bottled drinks, baby food, and special-diet food. Glass containers, portable chairs, coolers, and pets are prohibited. Food may be consumed only in designated areas.

5. Getting to the Goyang Branch

The address is Starfield Goyang 4F, 1955 Goyang-daero, Deogyang-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. The customer-service number is 031-5173-4500, or +82-31-5173-4500 from abroad.

For subway access, use Samsong Station (삼송역) on Line 3 and Exit 3. Starfield’s directions give a straight 500-metre walk to the mall, listed as eight minutes. This is the station-to-mall guidance, not a timed journey to the spa reception; you still need to reach the fourth floor.

Parking is free under Starfield’s parking policy. For late arrivals by car, entry to the second floor through the roof parking levels is restricted after 21:00, with drivers directed to first-floor parking. Do not assume that fourth-floor parking remains accessible for new vehicles until spa closing.

TripKorea’s Tip: Check the Goyang branch name on your ticket and directions. The branch is in Goyang, outside Seoul’s city boundary, even when the visit starts from a Seoul hotel.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the jjimjil spa cost?

Standard admission is KRW 26,000 for adults and KRW 21,000 for children. Infants under 36 months enter free with proof of age, but are not issued clothing or towels. Rentals and separately charged services are additional.

How long can visitors stay?

Spa admission includes up to six hours, within opening hours of 10:00–22:00. Additional time costs KRW 5,000 per hour. Confirm partial-hour billing with staff if you plan to exceed the allowance.

Can families use the spa together?

Families can meet in shared jjimjil spaces, but the bathing and changing areas have separate rules. Children aged 48 months and older cannot enter opposite-sex sauna, shower, or changing facilities together. The Relax Room is adults-only.

Is swimming necessary for a visit?

No. The jjimjil spa is a separate admission category focused on heated rooms, rest spaces, and sauna facilities. This guide does not cover rooftop swimming or combined swimming products.

Can visitors leave and return after checkout?

Do not plan to do so. Every visitor must complete settlement before departure, and the normal checkout instruction prohibits re-entry afterward. Keep any plans outside the spa separate from the visit.

Aquafield Goyang offers an indoor jjimjil visit with several room environments and distinct bathing, resting, and checkout arrangements. Confirm the day’s operating information, choose the correct spa product, and account for the six-hour limit before arriving.
