Korean Baseball Food: What to Eat

October 11, 2026|by TripKorea Team

Korean Baseball Food pairs fried chicken, cream-coated shrimp, and rice cakes with drinks in the stands. The serving formats range from a handheld chicken-and-beer container to dishes for sharing.

This guide covers five ballparks and the food choices associated with each.

1. Korean Baseball Food at Jamsil: One Shot Chicken

Jamsil Baseball Stadium (잠실야구장) has a handheld option called One Shot Chicken. It combines chicken and beer in a container held in one hand. The arrangement differs from a full platter at a chicken restaurant. Here, the food and drink stay together while you watch the field.

The name identifies a serving format, not a general chicken recipe. Check the concession menu for the chicken style, drink choices, and portion size. The name does not establish a sauce or guarantee a complete meal for one.

For visitors comparing ballpark meals, this is the handheld option. A chicken order to share serves a different purpose. Incheon’s cream shrimp centers on fried seafood and sauce, not a combined chicken-and-drink container.

Jamsil also requires a date check. Seoul’s redevelopment plan keeps the existing stadium in use through the 2026 season. The plan moves the teams to a replacement venue from 2027. Do not carry today’s concession locations forward when planning a later visit.

2. Incheon SSG Landers Field: Cream Shrimp

At Incheon SSG Landers Field (인천SSG랜더스필드), look for cream shrimp (크림새우). It is fried shrimp dressed with a cream sauce that includes a spicy element. Incheon’s tourism guide identifies Station (스테이션) as the vendor and describes shrimp chips beneath the fried shrimp.

The sauce matters when choosing this dish. “Cream” does not promise mildness. The documented version combines sweet-and-sour flavors with heat. Visitors who need a less spicy order should confirm the available preparation rather than assume the sauce can be changed.

A second Station counter is beside the catch-ball area, behind the outfield barbecue zone. This is another location to look for. It does not guarantee a shorter queue or that shrimp is still available.

Burger Wonders (버거원더스) offers a non-seafood alternative: cheese poutine. It combines fried potatoes, mozzarella, a cream sauce, and bacon. Its location is the first-floor, first-base side near section 102, N2.

Cream shrimp is the seafood order. Cheese poutine is a potato-and-cheese dish with bacon. Check the vendor’s ingredients before treating either dish as suitable for an allergy or diet.

3. Suwon KT Wiz Park: Jinmi Tongdak

Suwon KT Wiz Park (수원KT위즈파크) is associated with Jinmi Tongdak (진미통닭). VISITKOREA’s March 2025 feature identifies the chicken brand at this ballpark.

This is a vendor-led choice rather than a container-led one. Look for the chicken concession’s menu, not Jamsil’s One Shot format.

The distinction is useful for a group deciding what to share. Use the menu displayed at the stand. Check the portion before ordering for several people.

Use KT’s seating guide to identify the concession areas, then locate the named vendor at the ballpark.

4. Changwon NC Park: Beer Bat

At Changwon NC Park (창원NC파크), Beer Bat (비어배트) is a drink-focused concession. The name refers to beer served in a baseball-bat-shaped cup. VISITKOREA’s ballpark-food feature describes this presentation.

NC Dinos’ current food-and-beverage map places Beer Bat on the first floor. Look beside Gate 1, near Ticket Box 1. Use this location to find the counter. The map does not establish the day’s beer brand, serving size, or cup design.

The tourism feature describes the cup as something customers can keep. Confirm the cup offering before purchasing specifically for the souvenir. The team’s map identifies the concession, not its drink menu.

NC Park’s concourse runs around the seating behind the infield and outfield. It is designed to help spectators follow the game while using the shops. Start with the concession map when planning food stops. Beer Bat is a beverage stop, not a substitute for a meal.

5. Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark: Rice Cakes and Food Rules

Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark (대전한화생명볼파크) opened in 2025. Do not use the former Hanwha Life Eagles Park’s food advice to locate a stand inside the new stadium.

The March 2025 VISITKOREA feature introduces Nongshim Garak tteokbokki (농심가락 떡볶이). This version uses long, thick garaetteok rice cakes.

That food association does not establish a current counter location. Availability at a particular game is not guaranteed. Check the new ballpark’s concession information before planning a purchase from that specific vendor.

The team’s food-entry rules are also useful if bringing a meal. Outside food may be carried in when it complies with the permitted-item and bag restrictions. Hot soups and strongly scented foods may be restricted; permission to bring food is not permission to bring every dish or container.

These rules apply to Hanwha’s venue and should not be generalized to every stadium. For Korean Baseball Food, choose the ballpark first. Then check the day’s menu and food rules before deciding what to buy or bring.

Frequently Asked Questions

What foods are associated with Korean baseball stadiums?

Examples include One Shot Chicken at Jamsil, cream shrimp at Incheon, and Jinmi Tongdak at Suwon. Changwon has a Beer Bat concession. The 2025 tourism feature introduces Nongshim Garak tteokbokki at Daejeon. A featured food does not guarantee availability at every game.

Is the cream shrimp at SSG Landers Field non-spicy?

No mildness guarantee should be made. The national and Incheon tourism guides both describe a spicy element in the cream sauce. Confirm the current preparation before ordering if heat is a concern.

Can visitors bring outside food into a Korean baseball stadium?

The answer depends on the venue. Hanwha Eagles permits outside food within its item and bag restrictions. Hot soups and strongly scented dishes may be restricted. Check your ballpark’s rules. Do not apply one team’s policy nationwide.

Where is Beer Bat at Changwon NC Park?

NC Dinos’ food-and-beverage map marks it on the first floor. Look beside Gate 1, near Ticket Box 1. The map identifies the concession location, not its prices or serving hours. Check the counter for the day’s menu.
